What a great first week of school! We hit the ground running with amazing lessons, library orientations, and laptop distribution - just to name a few.
Speaking of laptops…we have reminded students that the computers are to be used for educational purposes and are the property of Henrico County Public Schools. Take time to talk to your child about appropriate use of electronic resources.
School will be closed Friday, August 29 and Monday, September 1.
Remember, an early dismissal pick-up should be planned to occur no later than 2:30PM. Students will not be called prior to your arrival. Please make sure you have your photo ID when you come to the front office.
Thank you so much for reinforcing the Cell Phone Policy. We have had very little issues thus far with students not following our guidelines. Keep up the good work.
If you plan to drive to school to drop-off and/or pick up your child, please refer to the attached map. Please DO NOT use the bus ramp, Bransford Road, or the church parking lot as a drop-off or pick-up location. Student ID badges need to be part of your child’s school attire everyday. It is mandatory that it be worn around their neck and visible at all times. Thank you for your help in making sure we follow the protocols set by the HCPS Safety Department.
Is your child interested in trying out for a fall sport? Fall sports tryouts will begin after school tomorrow, Monday, August 25. Your child must have a physical dated after May 1, 2025 and it must be on the VHSL form. No other forms are needed for tryouts. Insurance information is required on the physical card. Schedules, forms, and other information can be found on gomoody.com under “Athletics.”
Back to School Night for parents is Thursday, September 11 starting at 6PM.
