What a great first week of school! It was amazing having our students walk the halls of Moody again. I know smiles were shining on faces, even behind the masks.
Tomorrow is a Day Two with students attending Advisory followed by periods 5, 6, 7 and 8.
While transportation continues to be a struggle, please know that bus dismissal times have gotten a little better each day. We appreciate your patience as HCPS works it all out. For those of you who choose to pick up your child from school, it is important that you stay in your car and follow the flow of traffic onto Bransford Road. Students will be discharged onto Bransford Road near the sidewalk, adjacent to the bus ramp. Just like a traditional carpool line, cars pull forward in the line and wait their turn for loading. Your child’s safety is important to us. Thank you for helping us make dismissal run as smoothly as possible.
Laptop distribution continues this week. Please note – Student passwords were reset at the end of the summer to the LAST FOUR NUMBERS of their STUDENT ID.
Please join me for my “Principal’s Chat” this Wednesday at 9:30AM in the school’s auditorium. Admission to the school building will not occur prior to 9:05AM. Space will be limited.
This Thursday, September 16 is a student holiday. There will be NO school that day for students.
Yearbooks will be distributed Friday, September 17 to those 7th and 8th graders who ordered a yearbook LAST year.
Early dismissal pick-up should be planned to occur no later than 2:30PM. Students will not be called to the office prior to your arrival. Please make sure you have your photo ID.
During the week of September 20 and September 27, your child will take Virginia Growth Assessments. Please see the attached letter for more information. Virginia Growth Assessments Information
