|Good evening Moody Raiders,
This week follows a Day Two, Day One pattern. Monday, Wednesday and Friday periods 5, 6, 7, and 8 will meet. Tuesday and Thursday periods 1, 2, 3 and 4 will meet.
In our 8th grade Gifted Enrichment classes, students are working on Lead2Feed service learning projects. For one of these projects, a group of 8th graders is partnering with FeedMore to run a canned food/non-perishable goods drive, right here at Moody Middle School! Three boxes are located outside of the gym. Labeled 1, 2, and 3, each box represents a different day two lunch. That’s right, the winning lunch, which is currently 3rd lunch, will win a “free seat Friday” on Friday, March 23! We are requesting that you bring the following cans and non-perishables, which FeedMore needs:
Attention parents of 8th grade students: Economics and Personal Finance is a required course for all high school students. Longwood University will be hosting an informational interest meeting for a dual enrollment personal finance and economics course on Tuesday, March 27, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. If you are interested in earning college credit in a condensed summer course, this course will meet those needs. To get more information on the dual enrollment personal finance and economics course, please, attend the interest meeting on March 27 at Deep Run HS or Henrico HS in the school’s auditorium.
All Moody Band Parents: Band students are traveling to Glen Allen HS to perform for the District Band Assessment Festival on Thursday, March 15th after school. This is a mandatory event for all band students. All band parents should have received this information as permission slips were passed out to students weeks ago and are due to Mr. Smith by this coming Tuesday. Mr. Smith desperately needs parent chaperones to help with this event. Please email Mr. Smith at email@example.com if you are able to help out with this important event. Thanks for supporting the Moody MS Band Program.
Parents, more information regarding March 14th National School Walkout is coming your way tomorrow.
That’s all for now. Let’s make it a great week!
